“In the Germ Crazy real time strategy game, one of the challenges is to update the entire body even when the player is not looking at it.
To achieve this, we have defined a complex data structure that is updated by automatic update routines when the player is not on a level and by the Unreal Engines objects when they are. There will be over 30,000 cells in the average Germ Crazy body and a host of other elements like blood vessels, nerves and lymph nodes that need to be updated. This routine needs to be fast and to achieve these speeds it is written in C++.
